February Ron Furman from True North Companies started the presentation by asking if we have a health care crisis or have a health crisis? (We have a health crisis.) Then proceeded to expand on how employees perceive their health benefits. He expanded on how we went from indemnity plans to the consumer driven plans and that we are in an aging population. In summary employers need to empower employees on health issues whether they have health conditions or are healthy, they need to make behavior modification.
