Scholarship
The Cedar Valley SHRM scholarship is $1,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year. The scholarship is not automatically renewable and the money will be paid directly to the Registrar's Office upon the recipient's proof of registration and attendance. The CVSHRM Officers will review the applications received by the deadline date and make the final decision on the scholarship award.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the scholarship, an individual must be enrolled full-time for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Northern Iowa, Wartburg College, the Waterloo Campus of upper Iowa University or Kaplan University and have a declared major in Business, Public Administration, Communication, Psychology or related field with an emphasis in Human Resources. In addition, an applicant must have attained Junior status, by the fall 2012 semester, with an overall GPA of 2.75.
Immediate family members of the CVSHRM Officers are not eligible to apply. Immediate family member is defined as the sibling, child or parent of an CVSHRM Officer.
Application Process
- Complete the application and questionnaire and solicit two letters of reference, from an employer, professor or academic advisor.
- Submit the completed application, questionnaire and letters of reference along with a resume and copy of our college transcript by 5:00 pm, Friday April 20, 2012.
